On November 24, the Ministry of Tourism conducted the Accountability event in the presence of major tour operators of Ecuador, the same that he was attended by Dominic Hamilton, Vice Minister of Tourism

 

Initially, it informed Ecuadorian tour operators about the actions taken by the Ministry of Tourism to map the profile of tourists traveling to the country and to quantify the economic resources Ecuador receives by such visits. Likewise, it announced the investment projects and the statistics of "Travel First Ecuador" for 2015.

 

The Tourism Ministry also shared with the tour operators of Ecuador the communication and training actions that have been implemented with the international campaign aimed at the trade.

 

It emphasized: the production of eight magazines in five languages, with more than 15,000 copies printed and delivered to tour operators of the priority markets for the country, the training of over 3,000 tourism specialists in various themes through eight webinars, and the dissemination through social networks about the presence of the Ministry of Tourism in different fairs and business meetings in order to strengthen the relationship with the international trade.

 

Similarly, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of the four international offices (USA and Canada, Asia and Australia, England and Germany, and Brazil), reported the achievements made in these countries in order to promote Ecuador abroad and boost the country´s inbound tourism strategy.
