From 9th to 13th March, the All You Need Is Ecuador Road-show, formed of Ecuadorian tour operators, promoted the country in European cities. After a presentation of the tourist attractions of Ecuador in the cities of Madrid, Milan, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, the operators held business conversations and sales of tourist packages. The aim was to generate strategic alliances with tour operators, travel agents and media on this continent. About 500 people attended the Road-show and also enjoyed Ecuadorian cuisine.

 

 

This time in Japan, at least 1,500 high level tourism professionals attended the third edition of the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) held in Kyoto from 16th to 18th March. The Markets Undersecretary, Maria Cristina Rivadeneira, represented the Ministry of Tourism in meetings with Japanese trade press as well as with local tour operators. Japan is a market opportunity for Ecuador as it will allow diversification and specialization of tourists’ demands.
