Territory composed of multiple ecosystems: dry land, flood zones and wetlands. It is a region in which live several indigenous nationalities: Huaorani, Zápara, Secoya, Cofan, Shuar, Achuar, Kichwa, Andoa, among the main ones. Indigenous nationalities have large areas of territory in the Amazon.
The tropical jungle has invaluable biological wealth, such as: the Yasuni National Park, the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, the Sangay National Park and the Podocarpus National Park.
It is a region easily reached thanks to the diverse access that exist: land, air and fluvial.
