What do you need to enter Ecuador?

As of Friday, February 11, 2022, all travelers over 3 years of age entering the country by air must present the following documents: Vaccination certificate with QR code or valid COVID-19 vaccination card with at least 14 days of validity after completion of the scheme. -Those who do not have the complete outline may present the negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to shipment to Ecuador or the Galapagos Islands. -All passengers under 3 years of age do not have to present these requirements. -The only type of test authorized for entry into the country is RT-PCR. Latest resolutions In addition, those entering by air must present the Traveler’s Health Declaration in digital form upon boarding. If the platform is not available, the physical form may be submitted at the entry point of the Ministry of Health. Connectivity

We are connected to external travelers through the Mariscal Sucre (Quito) and José Joaquín de Olmedo (Guayaquil) international airports. In addition, Ecuador has several local airports that facilitate domestic connectivity, including: Mariscal Lamar (Cuenca), Baltra and San Cristobal (Galapagos), Ciudad de Catamayo (Loja), Eloy Alfaro (Manta) and others.

General rules at airports

• Arrive early at the airport.
• Follow the instructions of your staff.
• At the airport you will find disinfectant in check-in areas, filters and more.
• Maintain social distancing.
• Thermal cameras will measure your body temperature.
• Try to check in online.
• Respect the turns during check-in.
• Only the person who will be traveling will be allowed to enter the airport. Exceptions are made for persons accompanying persons with disabilities, reduced mobility or minors.

Ground transportation system

In Ecuador you will find public and private, local and interprovincial ground transportation.

The schedule for local and interprovincial public transportation varies according to each canton.

In major cities, public transportation generally runs between 06h00 and 21h00.

To travel between provinces you can purchase your tickets at the main land terminals.
