Montañita
Montañita, included in the World Network of Surf Cities in 2016 (WSCN), is a favorite area for national and international tourists to practice this sport. In the streets of this town it is easy to observe children, youth and adults with surfboards.
It is a town where the waves are perfect for those who practice surfing. Also, the monument to the surfer was built here, whose author is Gustavo Vargas, a work created in 2013 that projects the importance that this activity has taken in the commune.
Montañita is very popular for its famous nightlife, varied cuisine and adventure tourism that can be practiced in the area or in the surrounding towns.
The commune has a territorial surface of 1.414 hectares and its beach has an extension of 3.5 km.
The population of Montañita is approximately 4,500 inhabitants and the average temperature is 28 ºC.
