QUITO - UN Conference on Housing and Urban Development - Habitat III - 2016
From October 17 to 20, 2016, Quito hosted the third Habitat conference, a United Nations program that works towards a better urban future. 167 countries were represented (45,000 registered, 30,000 accredited and 10,000 international participants), 500 national participants, 500 workers.
QUITO - Routes Americas - 2018
Routes Americas is the continent’s main aeronautical event that took place from February 13 to 15, 2018 at the Quito Exhibition Center. This event included the main world airlines, airports and tourism entities that finalized new businesses and investments. 800 delegates, 80 airlines, 300 airports, 40 tourism authorities, 20 speakers and more than 30 national and international press representatives.
QUITO - SAHIC (South America Hotels, Investments and Conferences) - 2019
SAHIC receives approximately 400 senior executives and leaders annually from more than 30 countries, including investors, major hotel chain executives and real estate operators, developers, financial advisors, lawyers, designers, architects, consultants, tourism sector representatives, project developers, timeshare operators and government officials in the region. It took place on September 16 and 17, 2019.
GUAYAQUIL - Third International Book Fair - 2017
From September 6 to 10, 2017, the third International Book Fair was held at the convention center, which received 25,367 visitors. The purpose of the event was to encourage reading in the community, especially among children and young people, as well as paying tribute to outstanding writers, figures and literary novels on their anniversaries
GUAYAQUIL - 23rd Annual Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association - LACEA - 2018
The Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association is an international association for economists with common interests, which works to facilitate the exchange of ideas between economists and public policymakers in Latin America. The event was held from November 8 to 10 at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Gustavo Galindo campus, and saw 700 attendees. The purpose of the event was to encourage debate among participants on relevant economic issues in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
GUAYAQUIL - Latin American Convention of Jehovah's Witness - 2019
The International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses 2019, which took place from June 14 to 16, 2019, in the city of Guayaquil, brought together more than 5,300 delegates from 45 countries across America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. According to the organizers, attendance was between 45,000 to 50,000 people. The program was presented simultaneously in three languages: Spanish, English and sign language.
