World Travel Awards

The World Travel Awards (WTA) were established in 1993, to recognize, reward and celebrate excellence in all key sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry. Today, the brand is recognized worldwide as a seal of quality.

In the twenty-fifth installment of the WTA, held on September 15, 2018, Ecuador participated with 38 nominations in different categories, with the cities of Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca and in a special category, the Galapagos Islands. Ecuador won a total of 25 awards, making it the most winning country in South America.
